Weighing in on the Conversation Index
I was alerted today by Eric Mattson of MarketingMonger.com that the Conversational Index meme has been co-opted by KDPaine & Partners:
The CGMDashboard(tm) comes pre-configured so public relations professionals can track the demographic of the postings, the number of track backs and comments, key issues and topics, the depth of the mention, the nature of the comment, the level of interaction and the tone of the discussion. Additionally, the DIY dashboard automatically shows the Conversation Index — recently developed by highly acclaimed blog guru Stowe Boyd. The Conversation Index calculates the ratio between posts and comments and trackbacks as an indicator of the degree to which any given blog is generating a conversation. Any additional required parameters can be easily programmed into the system. Because the CGMDashboard(tm) is a web based application, all data and results are available worldwide 24/7/365 to whomever you authorize its use.
I guess I should be asking for a royalty.
