Dalton Caldwell wants to build an open alternative to the Twitter protocol, now that Twitter is becoming even more closed than Fred Wilson’s ‘potholes’ post suggested a few years ago.

I wonder if 10 thousand people really care enough? Meanwhile, iOS is closed. Does anyone care except hackers?
